QuakeCast
Race someone who is not in the room with you.
Each racer opens one browser tab and shares a camera, the emulator window and the tracker — no install, no port forwarding.
Each racer gets OBS browser sources of the other one, already sized and ready to paste.
Create a race room
You get two links: one is your own seat, the other is the one you send to your opponent. The links are the keys — there is nothing to sign up for.
Your room is open
Your seat
This one is yours. Keep it — it is the only way back into your seat.
Invite
Send this one to your opponent — and only to them. Whoever opens it takes the other seat.
Your rooms
Rooms you made here, remembered by this browser alone. Open your seat again, copy the invite again, or close a room when the race is over — the links stop working and the slot frees up straight away.
- ShareOpen your seat link, pick a camera, share the emulator window. The page finds SNI or QUsb2Snes by itself.
- PasteYour seat page lists browser sources of your opponent — game, cam, tracker, a whole panel, the clock. Copy each into OBS.
- RaceEither seat starts the countdown. Both timers run on both pages, and the tracker follows the run.
What you need
Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox cannot share a single window the way this page needs.
A camera that is free. If OBS is already holding it, start OBS's Virtual Camera (Output Type “Source”, your camera source) and pick OBS Virtual Camera here instead.
SNI or QUsb2Snes for the tracker, running before you press GO. On snes9x-nwa it has to be SNI. Nothing is installed by this page: it talks to whichever one is already there, the same way EmoTracker does.
The video works with no tracker at all — you just get no items.
Rooms expire on their own — two hours after the last racer leaves,
twelve at the most — and you can close yours sooner from Your
rooms above. Make a new one whenever you need it.
